Work  

Work is dynamic and will not be limited to a set profile, but would involve a diverse and interesting portfolio of work and tasks. Yet, for simplification, here is a laundry list:

•  Research and write synopsis of film, TV Shows, Plays, Music in the BigFlicks library
•  Research and write copies for promos, banner ads etc.
•  Research and write biographies of Indian directors, actors, musicians, play authors
•  Ideate, research and write leaflets, brochures, one-sheeters (for movies) etc.
•  Make content for BigFlicks website and other web-related activities including online PR, newsletters, blogs, e-zines etc.
•  Edit and proof-read various types of content, including but not limited to website, newsletters, leaflets, brochures, booklets etc.

Challenge : The work is highly challenging, and not the run-of-the types like this run-of-the-mill phrase. Hence, inclination and attitude is more more important than skill, which can be acquired.

General Background : An interest in films, film-makers, TV Shows producers, music makers, theatre productions will be helpful. A great advantage would be a genuine passion for these forms of entertainment.
If you know Kurosawa, Ray, Tendulkar, Pu La Deshpande and others, your pen will be mightier than the others

Academic Background : Qualified or preparing for qualification in English, Journalism or Mass Communication.

Statutory Warning : Work hours would be tough, and deadline as always, yesterday.

Location : Mumbai.

Freelancers : A strict no-no. This is not a freelance job and though you might think it possible, over months we have realized it is definitely not. So if you are not considering a full time job, please do not apply.
