Network Engineer - Hyderabad

Google is looking for an experienced network engineer to help maintain and expand Google’s corporate network infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a team oriented fast learner who combines excellent network management, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills. The candidate should be capable of implementing and maintaining the global network. The position is based out of India.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering and implementing network requirements from different stakeholders (evaluating new/upgrading network equipment).
- Provisioning remote office WAN connectivity.
- Coordination and deployment of multi-vendor networking gear.
- Working with and developing network monitoring tools.
- Participate in rotating \”on call\” schedule with other members of the team.
- Documenting WAN/LAN troubleshooting/ installation procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent).
- In-depth experience in dynamic routing protocols like OSPF, BGP is a must.
- 5 -7 years of experience with IT/Campus/Local area network management. Should be knowledgeable about switching, QOS, Multicast amongst others.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and related WAN technologies with relation to the OSI layers.
- Must have good LAN troubleshooting skills (net. device and system level). Thorough understanding of network security aspects, common problems and solutions (ACL, firewall filtering, and VPN).
- Experience with Network Monitoring and other network administration tools.
- Experience and flexibility regarding on-call responsibilities.
- Experience with Wireless (802.11*, 802.1x) management and technologies.
- Creative problem solving abilities.
- Network certifications (or equiv. training/experience) preferred.
